Accepting payments with Stripe is simple and cost-effective. Stripe fees vary depending on the country where your Stripe account is registered and the origin of the customer's card.
In addition to Stripe's processing fee, Tableo charges a 1% fee on each payment processed through Stripe. VAT may also apply to the fees, depending on your local tax rate.
How are the fees calculated?
The total cost is made up of:
- Stripe processing fee – varies depending on your Stripe account country and the customer's card region.
- Tableo fee – 1% of the payment amount.
- VAT – applicable according to your local tax rate.
For example, for a €10 payment made with a standard EEA card through a Stripe account registered in Malta:
- Stripe fee: 1.5% + €0.25 = €0.40
- Tableo fee: 1% = €0.10
- Fees before VAT: €0.50
- VAT: applied according to your local tax rate
The final amount received will therefore depend on the applicable VAT rate.
Please note: Stripe fees may vary depending on the card type, country, currency conversion, and other factors.
