How to Request Payments, Deposits, or Card Verification

First, make sure that your payments are activated. Go to Marketplace and check that the toggle under Online Payments & Cancellation Policy is switched on. If it is not, simply click the toggle to activate it.

Once that is correctly set up, then:

1. From the side menu, go to Settings > Reservations > Deposits & Payments.

2. Select your payment provider and enter the required information to complete the setup.

3. Enter the information to configure your payment specifications.

  • Type: Choose whether you prefer a card guarantee or to take a deposit straight away.
  • Amount per guest: The amount charged per person.
  • From party size: The minimum number of covers for which a deposit or card guarantee will be requested when placing a booking.
  • When it applies / In these dining areas: Select the specific days and dining areas where you would like deposits or card guarantees to apply.
  • Unpaid bookings: Amount of time that guests have to complete the checkout process before the booking gets automatically cancelled.

4. You can set up your cancellation policy under Terms & Policies. To access it, click on the link at the bottom of the screen. Once you have finished, click Save changes.

Note: Please bear in mind that if guests cancel after this period, the penalty will not be collected automatically by the system. It needs to be actioned manually. You can find a guide on how to do so at this link.
